Updates on my site
April 2022

Here follows the list of the new or updated stuff on my site. There's always some gaps to fill, brochures ti find, stories to tell. It's anever ending job.
I hope you appreciate my efforts.

.
I'm still here... It's been over 20 years now since I started to fill my site with all kinds of Suzuki motorcycle stuff: specifications, photos, brochures, magazine ads... There wasn't any similar sites on the Internet back then – what I know of. I believe I'm still one of the largest, if not the largest size on the Internet including ALL Suzuki motorcycle models. I hope some people think it's also the best. I am trying...
.
The fact that it was over 20 years ago when I put this website together also means that I made the layout suitable for desktop computers, not for iPads or smartphones (there wasn't any back then). Also, an average computer display was 15 inches large, 27 inches or more is not uncommon these days. The images I uploaded back them (using a 56K dial-up modem) were often very small. ”Even larger picture” back then could be 560 pixels wide. Now it's usually 2000 pixels or mor. Back then, images needed to be small, otherwise people didn't manage to show them on their slow computers with slow Internet connections.
..
It's still basically the same layout I created in 2001. It works, but the text is on the smaller side and can be difficult to read on some devices. To change the layout completely would mean a lot of work for me. There's thousand pages to recreate. It's not broken so I won't fix it, unless I have to. I'd rather spend the time adding more Suzuki stuff on the site than making the site look more modern and more smart phone friendly.
.
I have had loads of help from visitors to my site. People have scanned their Suzuki brochures and mailed them to me. Examining brochures is not only fun, but it is often the only way to find correct information. The errors often multiply on the Internet, webmasters copy information from each other. I've noticed that mistakes I've made have being copied to other websites.
.
Please notify me if you find any errors here, either technical or if there's uncorrect information about the motorcycle models. Any problems at all. I do read all the messages although I sometimes react slowly. It is an enormous task I've committed to, telling everything about every Suzuki motorcycle ever made. I will probably never get there, but I'm working on it...
.
Please keep on sending brochure scans to me! Don't make the scans too small. The bigger, the better! Here's the e-mail address:

.
April 1: New pages: DR200SE model history, TS200R brochures, GS1000G brochures ('82 England). I also started a Intruder 150 and V-Strom 1050 model history pages. Updated pages: DR125 brochures ('82 England), GSX1100E brochures ('82 England)
.
April 2: Updated pages: I added more pictures and data to the V-Strom 1050 model history page. There's also a new page on the Stories section, a wondeful story with pictures, about a 37,000 km trip from Switzerland to Australia, with a Suzuki DR750. I also added a few pictures to the GSX-R750 model history page (2019–2021).
.
April 3: New pages: GSX-S950 model history (2021 onwards). I also added the model to the 2021 and 2022 pages. Address 110 brochures (M0 Global), Burgman 125 brochures (M0 Global), Burgman 200 brochures (M0 Global), Burgman 400 brochures (K9 and K2 UK, L6 and M0 Global). I have also done some small tweaks on the website, trying to make it a bit more comfortable to navigate with a smart phone – without having to rebuild the entire website. I can't do any miracles, but small things, like adding a tiny space between all the navigation buttons (what I did today), can perhaps make a difference. What do you think? Do you have any suggestions how I could modernize the website without having to scrap all the work I've done?
.
April 4: I keep on changing the layout of the site. I try to make the text larger so it's easier to read on modern screens and smart phones. I'm experimenting a little, some pages may look weird before I get it right.
.
April 5: I have created hundreds of new buttons with Suzuki model names on them. Yes, I know that there's smarter way of creating links to the pages but I started that way back in 2001 and I'm not fixing something that is not broken. I make similar buttons that already exist, just a bit larger. I have also fixed a number of small things I've come across when updating the pages. I will continue doing that for a while. New pages: XF650 Freewind model history, XF650 Freewind brochures ('97, '99 and '01 Germany, '98 and '99 Great Britain)
.
April 6: Updated pages: RV125 brochures ('79 Germany) RV50 brochures ('79 Germany), TS50 brochures ('83 TS50 XAP automatic, France and '98 TS50XK), TS50 model history ('98 TS50XP), ZR50SL brochures ('83 ZR50SLAP automatic, France), Burgman 400 brochures (K1, K4 UK), Burgman 400 model history (added a K1 picture and K1 colors), GSX-R1000 brochures (L5 Global). Created many more model name buttons even today (there's hundreds of them).
.

.
April 10: New pages: V-Strom SX 250 model history (new model), V-Strom SX 250 brochures (M2 India)

Sometimes I get mail from people who complain that their favorite model is not on my site. In many cases they haven't even bothered to look properly or used the search engine. But there are still some models missing. I'm doing my best and will fill in the gaps as fast as I can. This is not my profession; I'm doing this in my spare time. I could use some help to be able to get more things done. Please send me pictures, brochures and specs – or complete model histories... Anything at all that can make the site more complete. Here's more info of how you can contact me.

One more thing: PLEASE visit the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) pages before sending me questions about your bikes, manuals etc. I would love to help you all but I haven't got enough time or knowledge to do that — perhaps you can find an answer to your question on the FAQ pages?
