Suzuki ZR50SL brochures & adverts
I have tried to find some Suzuki ZR 50 L info to put on this page.
I would be grateful of any contributions sales brochures, magazine ads,
magazine articles, pictures, specs, facts, corrections etc. Please scan the material
in JPEG format (large enough that all the details are visible) and send
them to me. Please tell me the source and the publication date if possible.
If you send me pictures of your own bike, please follow these
instructions. |

Model
history...
I don't know much about time custom styled Suzuki ZR50SL. Roy
Bacon wrote in his book of Suzuki that the model was introduced
in 1981, as a more conventional custom styled version of the OR50.
Both models based on the ZR50/X1/GT50/RG50
(different names on different markets) Suzuki moped site Suzuki
Bromfietsen told me that on there was a manufacturing date
08-78 printed on his ZR wheels. He sent the brochure below to
me but he can't be sure of the model year. All the records of
the ZR50SL at Suzuki Holland were destroyed in a big fire.
Anyhow, when OR50 (released in 1979) was a chopper styled small
custom bike with high bars and turned-up seat, the ZR50L had larger
wheels and looked more like the GS450L. |

to me by Johan, courtesy of Suzuki
Bromfietsen. I'm not sure of the year, it may even be a couple
of years earlier if the model was actually released before
1981, see the Model history above. The P in the model
name stands for pedals. Pedals were required on all
mopeds in the Netherlands. |
