Updates on my site
October 2002

Here follows the list of the new or updated stuff on my site. I try to keep this page up to date and write here every update on My Suzuki Pages that might interest you.

October 2: New Visitor's Suzuki entry (2001 GSF1200S Bandit).

October 5: New or updated pages: GS1000 models, GS1100G and GS1100GK, GS750 models, GS750E adverts, GS750 brochures, GS550E brochures. Minor updates and corrections on the All Suzuki Models section (1976—1983).

October 6: New VX800 brochure scans (1993). Minor updates on the All Suzuki Models section (1993). New Visitor's Suzuki entry (1977 RM370).

October 7: New GT550 model history page. Minor updates and corrections on the All Suzuki Models section (1972—1977). GT550 brochures and Links pages updated.

October 8: More pictures/brochures/articles: GS1000 model history, GT550 model history, GT550 brochures, GT550 magazine articles (new page).

October 9: Updated pages: GS500E model history (twin model specifications), New Visitor's Suzuki photos (1973 GT550, 1995 GSF600 Bandit).

October 11: New page: GSX-R1000 model history, with pictures and facts of the new 2003 year's model.

October 14: New or updated pages: DR650 model history, AN400 Burgman model history, AN650 Burgman model history, DL1000 V-Strom model history, GSX1300R Hayabusa model history. Minor updates on the All Suzuki Models section (1990-2002).

October 16: Just one new (but bery useful) link added to the Links page. It's about Measurement Conversion
and helps you to convert measures between metric and US/Imperial units automatically. I even added the links the All Suzuki Models section's Welcome page. For those who want to convert the specs to some bike specs. A new Products page: Web hosting services. New Visitor's Suzuki entry (1995 LS650 Savage). I have now moved the Visitors bikes and Visitors Suzuki pages to another server. This one is full and I have to move pages from time to time to other servers. I hope to find a cheap (or totally free) fast and reliable server some day that could hold all the stuff I have on my site, including the numerous JPEG's but haven't found it yet. I need a server that can offer 500 Mb or more storage place and can handle thousands of daily visitors. I don't like banners for things that have nothing to do with Suzuki or motorcycling so the service must be banner-free. Can you tell me where to find such place?

October 18: Some new JPEG's on the RG250 Gamma model history and RG250 Gamma brochure pages. New Visitor's Suzuki pictures: 1983 GS1100ES, 1986 GV1400 Cavalcade, 1989 RGV250 Gamma, 1977 TS100 and a GS1100 based Suzuki drag bike. I also moved the Visitors GV1400 Cavalcade pictures to the Visitors Suzuki page. There was no need to have a separate page for the Cavalcade models, they weren't that many anyway (there's three of them now).

October 20: My site will be moving soon! The webhosting provider Infinology.com has a special offer right now that sounds almost too good to be true. It offers 9,000 Mb disc storage space, 50,000 Mb of monthly web traffic, 5,000 POP3 E-mail accounts etc. etc. for only $6.96/month. 9 GB is probably more stogare than I'll ever need for my site but it doesn't cost more than usual. I have suffered from unadequate storage space too long. And the price is absolutely right! I chose their server for my site today and finally got myself an own domain name as well: www.suzukicycles.org. I will move my whole site to the new server soon and therefor the URL for my site will also be new!

October 22: Yesterday I made a major update on this site, I made some changes to the appearance with new logos, backgrounds etc. but most of all I moved the whole site to another server, hosted by Infinology.com (see the update above) with fantastic 9 Gb storage space. The new domain name suzukicycles.org isn't functioning yet but it should be activated very soon. Earlier the files were scattered all over the Internet o several servers, now I have gathered all the files on the same server, that should speed up both dowloading and uploading of the pages.

October 24: New brochure scans, sent by Bill Keating: GT550J, GT750J, T250J, T500J, GS850G. New GS1000G and GS850G adverts, sent by Michael, Michael's GS Classic. The GSX-R400 model history updated.

October 29: New Visitor's Suzuki pictures with comments: 1990 GSX1100F, 1973 GT550, 1985 GS1150E.

The number of page views on my site is now over 450,000 since the start in September 2001 (over 108,000 unique visitors). I'm very happy for the traffic! I thank you all for visiting my site. I hope you have enjoyed your visit and will come again some time.

The total number of visitors should actually be higher, the counter was down a couple of weeks in June and July and the hits per day have been increasing all the time and that is my reward for my efforts... =^)

Sometimes I get mail from people who complain that their favorite model is not on my site. In many cases they haven't even bothered to look properly or used the search engine. But there are still some models missing. I'm doing my best and will fill in the gaps as fast as I can. This is not my profession; I'm doing this in my spare time. I could use some help to be able to get more things done. Please send me pictures, brochures and specs – or complete model histories... Anything at all that can make the site more complete. Here's more info of how you can contact me.

One more thing: PLEASE visit the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) pages before sending me questions about your bikes, manuals etc. I would love to help you all but I haven't got enough time or knowledge to do that — perhaps you can find an answer to your question on the FAQ pages?
