Suzuki TS 90

Owner: Jeff Le Maitre, Guernsey, Channel Islands

Comments: I came across your site and thought i would send
you some pictures of my 1972 Suzuki TS90. I live in Guernsey in
the Channel Islands, (between England and France). The bike was
brought into the island by a secondhand m/c dealer and i purchased
it in 1996. It is reading 9,500 miles and is in near original
condition.

I started it up the other day after it was standing
in the the shed for over a year, and it started second kick, with
me dissappearing in a cloud of blue smoke! In Guernsey we don't
have letters on our registration numbers, and have aquired the
registration number 1972 which is on the bike. My current bike
is a Ducati 748 which i have owned for the past three years.

1983
Suzuki GS 550 L

Owner: Pieter Hoogmoed, the Netherlands

Comments: There is a sticker on the side that says that
the bike was specially made for the Olympic games of 1984. It's
a four cylinder 550 cc, they say it looks a lot like a GSX but
was built in a chopper style. The frame is not a square tube but
hexacon. As far as I know there were three bikes of this kind
in Holland but that was about five years ago so maybe this is
the last one now. The bike is for sale (1,000 Euro) and a potential
buyer is coming to see it next monday.

1983
Suzuki RG 250 Gamma

Owner: Martin O'Hara,
Belfast, Northern Ireland

Comments: Here's a picture of my RG250. I had her out on
a track day last Wednesday, and give her a hard time but she stood
up to it well. It was great fun sticking to more modern bikes
round the bendy bits, but as soon as a straight came up they where
gone. But I only paid a fraction of the price of their bikes for
my own.

I bought my RG250 about a year ago, it was in
sad state. I replaced wheel, head bearings, rebored it myself
on a CNC lathe, redrilled and helicoiled the exhaust flanges on
the barrels, repainted it and got new decals made for it, made
the fork brace, recoloured the faided seat with vinyl spray, bought
new tyres and chain sprockets, cleaned and sprayed almost all
of it. Now I run it on pri mix after it seized, as the oil pump
was duff.

Here's more pictures of Johan's bike and the owner's story of the renovation.

1981
Suzuki ZR 50 SLP

Owner: Johan,
the Netherlands

Johan has carefully renovated this beautiful moped. It took him
three years but now the bike looks like new! The P
at the end of the model name means that the bike has pedals (required
in Holland). We have different opinions of the model year of the
bike. There were date 2/78 casted on the wheels when Johan bought
it, but to my knowledge the model wasn't released until '81. Please
tell us if you don't agree with the model year.

Suzuki GSF1200S Bandit info.
 |
2001
Suzuki GSF 1200 S Bandit

Owner: Bill
Bush, Annapolis, MD USA
Purchased: new in June 2001

Mods: Extended and polished swingarm, 190 rear tire, chrome rims,
suzuki gel seat, flush mounts, fender eliminator, clip on handle
bars, full hindle exhaust and a few minor engine mods: K&N
filters, stage three jet kit, drop in GSX-R cams and five degree
advancer and two teeth up on the rear sprocket.

Comments: The bike is very strong, it is not so good in
curves because of the swing arm but I always catch up on the straights.
It can hang with the big boys with its 170 mph top speed.

1977
Suzuki RM 370

Owner: Michael Mazza, Hoppers crossing, Australia

Comments: This is a photo of my 1977 RM370B which I have
had now for 15 years. When I got it the bike was in a sad and
sorry state, so I fully rebuilt the motor got new parts for it
where ever I could, it has a FMF head, FMF pipe, DG carby, FOX
swinging arm, Racetech CDI blackbox, SUN rims and all new suspension
front and back. The plastics are also new and the tank is brand
new. It has been a good bike and I ride it when ever I can. It
has also won many trophies at pre80 bike shows.

Suzuki GT550 info.

1973
Suzuki GT 550 K

Owner: Jari Kytöläinen, Finland

Comments: I'm looking for a 1973 Suzuki brochure to verify
the correct colour of my motorcycle. Now my GT is red. Problem
is that Suzuki spare parts catalogue says that GT550K was only
available in Grace Lime Metallic and Purple Blue Metallic. I plan
to put the bike back in its original condition. The frame, the
fuel tank and the side covers have been repainted with wrong colors,
the seat cover is not original and there's some other details
that don't match with the original GT550K.
