1980 Suzuki GT 50

Owner: Niek, the Netherlands

Purchased: April 2003

Comments: ”I bought myself a Suzuki GT50 five months ago and it's a great bike! The guy who sold it to me was crying when I rode away with the bike... And he had a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy in his garage!

Now I have fallen in love with it. It is in a very good condition, and haven't needed to do any bigger reparations.

There's one problem, though. I have found the lubrication system unreliable, I'm not sure if the oil always gets to the engine as it should. As I didn't trust the system, I disconnected it and started using pre-mixed gas instead — and I have much more power now! I can do wheelies, which I couldn't do before.

It's a small bike, compared to other mopeds. But I love it! I recommend it to everyone.”

1970 Suzuki TC 90 Blazer

Owner: Tim Reed, California USA

Comments: ”Here's my recently restored 1970 Suzuki TC-90 Blazer. This photo would be a perfect match for the sales brochure you already have posted for this model.

The bike runs and everything works (except hi-beam is burned out in head lamp) and it has just under 1,000 miles on it.”

Comments: ”My bike is for sale. The bike is for the time being in Japan but will be shipped to Finland in the beginning of the next year. About 10,000 km on the meter.”

1975 Suzuki GT 185
1977 Suzuki GT 250

Owner: Valerie Paine, United Kingdom

Comments: ”I currently have three GT series bikes, they are as follows:

1975 GT185 M in ruby red (approx 50 miles covered) (the first picture of the two)

1977 GT 250 B in red (approx 90 miles recorded) (the picture below)

1976 GT 125 A (this is quite interesting as it is yet to be built, I have three large boxes of brand new components including frame and engine)

I have gone through the parts list and all items including tie raps, all rubbers, nuts and bolts, engine parts, carbs and so on and they are all there).

My digital camera is very poor, but I thought I would send you a few pictures anyway.”

1998 Suzuki VZ 800 Marauder

Owner: Greg Kenyon, Titusville, Florida USA

Comments: ”It's a 1998 Suzuki Marauder that I've had for about three months. I'm new to street bikes but not to motorcycles.

I do have some modifications on my Suzuki. For starters, I put a one-piece gel seat to replace the original seat. Next the exhaust had to go, I was never very fond of having both pipes on one side of the bike so I went to my favorite muffler shop and had the exhaust system changed to Harley-Davidson slash cut mufflers, with 1 inch and 7/8's baffles, so now the exhaust is pretty much the same size from start to finish.

Next came rejetting the carbs, a Dyna-Jet stage 2 jet kit was used (going up three jet sizes) and K&N air filters.

The front end has a Rizoma tripple tree, and ads six degrees more rake in the front end, making it roughly a 40° rake. A cyclops oval headlight, and terrible chrome mirrors. Mapiem forward controls and the saddlebags.

So far everything I've done has improved the bike. With the seat and forward controls it's much more comfortable to ride. Naturally the performance is also much better, thanks to the exhaust, jet kit and filters. So much better that I actually beat a friend of mine while he was on his '98 Suzuki Katana.

And believe it or not, the tripple tree made the bike handle much better.

I'm not finished with her yet, I am getting running boards made to cover parts of the exhaust, a new (bigger) gas tank and if I can ever make up my mind on a color, painting it . I plan powder coating the controls on the handle bars the same color.

I get compliments everywhere I go.

It's a great bike, stock or modified. I paid 3500$ for it and total parts and labor are around 2200$ (I know a real good bike mechanic).

The parts are not that easy to find, but do to my health, I recently retired at the ripe age of 36, and have lots of time to surf the net.

I'd be more than happy to answer any questions, and if someone in the central Florida area needs a good mechanic, I know one. It's not me.”
