1982 Suzuki GN 400 T

Owner: Keith Rogers, Macclesfield UK

Comments: Attached is a couple of pics of my 1982 GN400T,
just purchased as a second bike to ride the country lanes of
England.

With just 20,000 miles on the clock the bike is almost all original.
The silencer has been replaced by the previous owner with a
Gold Star item (which I quite like).

I have replaced the bars with straight ones which look much
neater.

My other bike is a Ducati 996, but I still really enjoy riding
my GN.

1983 Suzuki GS 750 ES

Owner: Kenneth Bruce Meredith, San Marcos, California USA

Comments: I started to build this bike in 1992 with a good
friend Eldon Carl. He has had quite a few of these in both the
700 and 750 version. Mine was a salvage bike as all the bodywork
had been stolen off of it so the insurance company totaled it.
It hadn't been crashed or anything, just stripped.

We started by powder coating the frame 'Baron Red'. The front
end is off of a 1985 GS1150E, it bolted right on, which gave me
a 120 front tire, better brakes, a built-in fork brace and 1mm
stiffer forks. The rear wheel is from the 1150 too giving me a
140 rear tire.

The motor at that time had a Wiseco 816cc Big Bore kit put in
it. At present it has been put back to the stock pistons and cylinders.

I've got a hydraulic clutch from a 1984 Canadian Anniversary Katana.
It has the same engine as the GS. All I had to do was make a braided
steel hose and use the clutch master cylinder and lever form a
1986 GSX-R 750 (U.S. Model), it matches my brake master cylinder
and lever perfectly.

The air box uses a K&N filter and I have since put on a Yoshimura
4 into 1 exhaust in place of the stock 4 into 2.

The rear shock is a Fox twin clicker, and the front forks have
Progressive springs inside. The paint is the original color with
the exception of the front fender and tail piece which were repainted
to match. The seat is a custom.

I really like my bike, not too much bodywork and compared to newer
models my bike is very narrow and it handles great. Plus I know
every nut and bolt on her as I put her together from the ground
up.

The electrical system is it's weakest point as I've gone through
at least six stators and 3 voltage reg/rec.sets.

I don't like the fact that I can't find a sporty 4 into 1 exhaust
canister system for it anymore in the states. It's too old a model,
they all say to warrant making systems for it. Although Vance
& Hines still make a Megaphone system

1996 Suzuki GSX-R 1100

Owner: André Lapointe, Lévis
town, Québec Canada

Comments: Purchased
this magnificient bike on april 14 200 , after 15 years without
a bike. It's stock, no modifications.

This machine is very powerful, (136 hp I think), fantastic handling
and is always fun to drive. It is very tough for the right hand
because of the low steering, but I don't care.

1999 Suzuki TL 1000 R

Owner: Kiley Willis, Salt
Lake City, Utah United States

Comments: I
bought 1999 TL1000R June 2003. It had 9,000 miles on it. I bought
it because it is big and it fit my budget, not to mention it
is so unique.

The sound is so unique as well. Most people, even motorcyclists,
don't even know what the TL1000R is when I pull up next to them.

It is a big bore litre bike but one thing I don't like is that
it lacks in acceleration compared to other litre bikes like
the R1, GSX-R 1000, CBR929RR. But none the less it is a great
bike. It is plenty fast for me, and it looks awesome. It sports
a 190 rear tire and I love that.

Another thing I do not like is that the big V-Twin engine will
roast your butt and legs off in city traffic. The bike is meant
for the open road.

It is a bit heavy compared to other big bikes but who cares.
If I had to have the fastest lightest thing around, I would
have bought a Gixxer 1000. But I can't afford that bike, and
I love the TL1000R anyway.

There are so many mods for this bike, I can't afford most of
them yet.

It's tested 1/4 mile is 10.76 at 129 mph I believe. Top speed
around 165 mph. I have seen a measured 157 MPH pon mine by a
GPS. Holy fast enough for me, the thing was still pulling! Great
bike! Get one!

1982 Suzuki GS 1100 G

Owner: Norm Ringler, Antioch, Illinois USA

Comments: Ive
enclosed a picture of my bike from a ride this summer in Southern
Indiana on the banks of the Ohio river.

I am the original owner and have about 45K miles on the odometer.
Ive equipped the bike with a K&N air filter, Lockhart
oil cooler, Pichler Uni-4 fairing, engine guards and fork brace.

This winter Im planning on replacement of the original
brake lines with stainless steel braid and new rear shocks.

This old Suzuki model has to be one of the best combinations
of performance, economy, comfort and reliability ever engineered.

1984 Suzuki GS 700 ES

Owner: Scott Jasper, England

Purchased: October 2001

Comments: I was most impressed to
find a site with GS700ES bikes in it. They are far and few between
in England, I don't know why because they are one of the best
bikes I have ever ridden.

The model I own is registered in my country as a '84, it was fully
faired but I removed the side slabs to give a more street bike
look.

Although I have made no other modifications it is a real head
turner and every (respectful) biker always stops me and asks all
about it.

Unfortunately the only thing I can tell them (very proud) is that
it is a American import with lot of kick and it is extreemly fun
to ride on an open road or around town.
