1994 Suzuki GSX 750 F

Owner: Jeff Evans, Caerllion
Swansea, South Wales, UK

Mods: All original, with 9.5k milage

Comments: It took me about three months to find a good
original example. I find the bike great allrounder. It needs
a good 20 mins run to have the engine and tyres really warmed
up but after that she begins to fly. It cannot be compared to
the GSX-R models but it is a good sports tourer and workhorse.

2003 Suzuki GSX 1400
Owner: Tony Dadson, British soldier based in Germany

Comments: I took delivery of my Suzuki GSX1400 K3 on the
26th May 2003. After two days I already mounted a screen on
it!

I thought people would like to see the new blue and white paint
scheme. I wasn't too keen when I first saw the pictures but
I prefer it now. It's much better in the flesh.

First impressions of the bike are excellent. I've been riding
20 years and I've never ridden a bike with such a smooth engine.
The torque is unbelievable, 2,000 rpm, in top gear, open the
throttle and the bike just pulls without so much as a judder.
So far I love it!

The bad points: the factory settings for the suspension are
bit scary to say the least (especially after riding Ducatis
for 4 years) and the quality of the paint on the wheels is shite
to put it mildy!

1985 Suzuki GSX 1100 EF

Owner: Lars Rehn, Malung Sweden

Purchased: June 2003

Modifications: None

Comments: Perhaps it's all to soon for me to give my view
about this bike, but I take a chance anyway...

This is my first true motorcycle, I have only owned two 400's:
a '82 Honda CB400 and a '82 Yamaha XJ400. Compared to these
small bikes that I was used to ride, the GSX1100EF really surprised
me positively! I had heard rumours that the 1100 EF was one
of the most longliving and flexible bikes, and also one of the
fastest from the 80's, and I'm now convinced about it!

The only thing that really disturbs me right now, is the fact
that the clutch makes a really annoying noice. I checked with
a friend of mine if it could be some severe damages if the clutch
sounds like this, but he told me that this problem should make
no future damages.
Here's another photo.

Here's a photo and some comments of the Yamaha XJ400 Lars used to own.

Lars Rehn's
GP125 before the accident.
A top fairing was mounted on the bike after this picture
was taken. |

The same
bike after the sudden stop against a big concrete
sewage pipe.
Lars had simply turned off too early from the main
road and missed the exit. |

1982 Suzuki GP 125

Owner: Lars Rehn, Malung Sweden

Comments: I bought the GP 125 in March 1983, rode it up
to the 8th of October, when I had an accident and crashed it!
The insurance company paid me 6,000 Swedish Crowns damages,
just about the same sum I had paid for the bike. A local mechanic
here in Malung repaired the bike some time later for about the
same amount of money...

About the crash: It was a
cold, dark and rainy October night. I was carrying a passanger.
I was going to make a left turn to a smaller road and slowed
down to approximately 50 kph when suddenly I felt that my head
and my right fist violently hit the black tarmac, and saw my
buddy flew over me a few meters. The bike was lying behind me,
smashed against a concrete sewage pipe. I had simply turned
off the road too early and had missed the exit! It was very
dark and the bike had poor lights.

My friend didn't suffer from any
injuries, he landed on soft grass. I wasn't as lucky. I broke
a bone in my right wrist and the helmet's (Kiwi K1) visor edging
almost cut my nose off as the visor was ripped off by the sudden
stop.

1992 Suzuki GSX-R 400 R

Owner: Hugo Louw, Cape Town
South Africa

Comments: She has a Yoshimura Cyclone pipe on
with the standard adjustable back suspension. The GSXR400R GK76
is one of the fastest 400's that I have ever rode, except for
the CBR 400 NC29. I haven't had any problems so far with her.
The only trouble is that the GSR400R GK76 is a very rare bike
and hard to find.
