1982 Suzuki GN 400 TD

Owner: Jan
Keevel, Mijdrecht Holland

Purchased: August 16, 2002 (25th Elvis Memorial Day!)

Mods: 98% original, home made luggage carrier, windshield, saddle
bags, top case

Comments: After about 20 years without a bike I bought
this GN400. It's wonderful to be back on two wheels again -
may be not as impressive as my former Laverda, but at least
as much fun - Born To Be Wild (again) - I try to share my affection
and my knowledge to the bike on my homepage http://takeoff.to/gn400.

1972 Suzuki GT 750 J

Owner: Rolf Lorentzen,
Skedsmo-korset (20 km north of Oslo) Norway

Comments: Enclosed is two of my GT750`s, both J models.
The Candy Jackal Blue I purchased brand new in 1972. I sold
it in 1974, got it back in 1996 in a terrible condition. It's
now restored to original. The Candy Ocher I purchased from Wisconsin,
USA, last year, in a fair condition. It's now repainted, also
a NOS seat and front fender. Otherwise its original.

I have one more GT750J to be restored, it will be painted in
Candy Lavender. I also have the three colors that was available
that first year.

The first year Buffalo is my favorites among classic bikes.
Maybe because it was my first big motorcycle when I was 18.
It has great handling, powerful and runs very smooth. It's not
like an ordinary two-stroke, it's not as noisy as air-cooled
bikes. I just love them, and I always will. Perhaps there will
be more GT750s in my garage. The 1975 M model, painted in Candy
Jewel Gray, is on the top of my wish list.

2002 Suzuki GSX 1400

Owner: Staffan Hägg, Sweden

Comments: I'm in on my second GSX1400 now. I crashed the first one and had a Honda X11 for a while in between. A tight
corner came towards me too fast, I pulled the front brake too
hard and the next thing I saw was something black and rough close
to my eyes (it appeared to be tarmac). A broken rib and lots of
scrape wounds. The bike was history. The right side engine cover
was ripped off and lots of dirt was pressed in.

1986 Suzuki GS 550 EF

Owner: Andre Boule, Ottawa Canada

Comments: Here is a picture of my 1986 GS550EF. Bought it
April 11th 2003 with 30,700 km on it. It is fully original, no
mods whatsoever. It is my first bike, I have never ridden before.
I can't wait to start riding but my motorcycle course isn't until
may :-(

 |
1979 Suzuki GS 1000 L

Owner: Kim Wm. Hosilyk
Jr.
Pittsburgh USA

Comments: I bought the bike three weeks ago and fell in
love with it. I have always been partial to older suzukis and
this one is no exception. Everything is original on the bike
except for tires and I had the seat redone. The only other changes
I plan to make are exhaust and jet the carbs. This is an exceptional
cruising bike with power to spare. I also own a 1983 GS750T
which rides just as nice but I love the power this 1000 has.

1961 Colleda 250 TA

Owner: Neston Elyn, Brugge Belgium

Comments: I started biking in 1959.

My first real bike was a Suzuki 250 I bougt second hand in 1962.
My second bike was a Suzuki GT380, then I got a Norton 850 Commando
for about 25 years. A Honda 500CBS was a compagnion for two
years and now I own a new Triumph Bonneville. (the Norton was
my favorite).

1979 Suzuyki X-1 / ZR 50 K
Owner: Marcel Koenders, the Netherlands

Comments: Your site was the first on the Internet where
I found a correct photo and description of my Suzuki. I bought
it in 1992, it is almost 25 years old and still in good condition.
Here's another picture of the bike.

Here's more Suzuki RF600R info.
 |
1995 Suzuki RF 600 R

Owner: James Rose, Isle of Wight

Comments: I attach a picture of an RF600RS, 1995 'M' reg
which I bought about six months ago and have done about 600
miles on so far. Ti's got a Micron road leagal exhaust and a
K&N air filter. These mods were put on by a previous owner
trying to improve the flat spot before 3,000 rpm which I believe
this model suffers with. The bike is in very good condition.
It has done about 8,000 miles and has been well looked after
as it doesn't get used if it looks rainy. There is a tiny little
crack in the right side panel which I'm getting welded and sprayed.
Then the bike should be tip top.

I like the bike very much because it is not very popular, so
it stands out a little bit, especially when it's been polished.
The front of the bike has been styled on the alien from the
film 'Aliens' the scoops modelled on a Ferrari and the back
from a Manta Ray. It sounds very sexy with the exhaust and,
for the Isle of Wight, goes like a Dream. I hope that more people
with RF600s send in their pics and info.
