Comments: "Hi, thought you might like to see some photos of my '70 Suzuki U50, in great original condition after some extensive renovation.
.
The little scooter was eventuelly sold to fund my next restoration, a 1981 GSX750ET.
.
At the moment I have a '70 Malanca Competizione, '72 Suzuki TS185, '85 Moto Guzzi V50, '90 Kawasaki KH125 and a '14 Honda CB500X ~ my wife thinks I have  a problem... ”

.
Comments: ”When I was younger (around 1980-1981) I bought a GT750J in several boxes of bits which I rebuilt over about two years but was really an ongoing project.
.
I owned her for about nine years selling her early 1991 when I moved to Sydney, Australia.
.
In 1990 I beach raced her on Kariotahi beach in the open class coming second to a Yamaha XS1100.
.
My email address is davegt750@gmail.com  It is ok to let others know this address as I am interested if anyone knows what happened to her. The number plate was 239XN.”

Owner: David Kunze,
Östersund, Sweden
.
Comments:”I bought it in 2010, 18 000 km on the clock. Additions to the bike I have made is crashbars, top box, custom-made touring screen, centre stand, different chain guard, hand protectors in plastic, clock/thermometer on the handle bar and magnetic oil plug.
.
I'm very happy with the bike. The DR engine is well-known for its durability and I have not had any problems with it so far: only maintenance such as changing spark plugs, tires and chain/sprocket kit. I ride to work, make day trips in mid-Sweden in the summer and even takes it in the terrain sometimes. I tried in a motocross track once a little bit but it is too low and the suspension is not good for that kind of riding.
.
Less than 50 hp is enough for me. It makes 0–100 km/h in about 7 seconds. The revs is quite high, so it is not comfortable to drive very fast. You could say it is adjusted for speeds within the legal range (up to 120 km/h in Sweden).”

1970 Suzuki TS 90 Honcho
.
Owner: Paul Cruiser,
Sydney, Australia

Comments:”I own a 1970 Suzuki TS90 Honcho, pictures attached.
.
I read in your Suzuki history for this bike,it was first released in Japan in February 1970. The plate shows mine was manufactured in April 1970.
.
The engine number is TC90 15641, it has the dual range gear box, which the TS does not normally have. Do you know if it is possible that the export model TS90 was supplied with a dual range TC engine, to suit the Australian farmer market? Dual range gearbox Suzuki's usually were sold in farming areas, not city areas.
.
This is a puzzle. It is possible that sometime in the past, the original motor was replaced, but the last four numbers in both engine and frame are very close, I thought this may be an interesting possibility ? I do not think you can know everything about Suzuki motorbikes, as i think Suzuki probably does not know also (smile).”

My reply: ”Your guess is as good as mine. All we know is that it's a TC90 engine. Was it already installed at the factory, I don't know.”
.
The TC90 was a sister model to the TS90, a trail version with dual-range gearbox.

Owner: Neil Batterham,
Queensland, Australia

Comments:”Here is my TS250ER.  It is the last of the air cooled models. Even by today’s it still picks up its skirt and gets along. These were not very popular back then but now are a collectable classic. Fuel consumption is approx 20km/L. It has had make over 5 years ago and has clocked up 65,000km in all.”

Comments:”I just got this bike and I am having a hard time finding any info on it. Just wondering if you can point me in the right direction...”

My reply: It's very hard to find information of the vintage Suzuki bikes that are not widely known in Europe or Northern America. I do find pieces of information every now and then but it takes time... Eventually I will put all information I find on this website.

Owner: Andrew Assur

Comments:”I stumbled across your website looking for information about a '81 GS450S I purchased over the weekend.  Your website is the most expansive source of similar information I have ever seen and I'm still digesting it.  While I did find helpful information I wanted to inquire about how I can find more, such as production numbers and how rare the bike is so I can decide how to restore appropriately.
.
Thanks for making such a helpful website!”
