1994 Suzuki RG 125 U Wolf

Owner: Doug McKellar,
Cape Town, South Africa)

Comments: “I bought it two weeks ago at 34,000 km (20,000 miles).
So far I've just put new mirrors on, replaced piston gaskets and rings, air filter, front and back brake pads and the back tyre.

The green rim-tape was an addition by a previous owner.

I think it's a wonderful bike and i'm very happy with it. I bought it for an extremely good price because of the above-mentioned work that I needed to do.

It is very quick for a 125cc, and especially for a naked bike. I can take it past 120 km/h (72 mph) in 4th gear, and it reaches 150 km/h (90 mph) with an open throttle. You can really feel it pull away when you enter the power band at 9000 rpm!

It is my second motorcycle, I crashed my previous bike (a scooter) five times, so I'm a little nervous to take the Wolf to its max!

I wonder whether I could fit fairings for my bike? I would hate for the engine to get damaged and would like to put fairings on... any ideas? ”

2003 Suzuki VS 800 GL Intruder

Owner: Walter D. Weirich, Jr.
Caneadea, New York, USA

Comments: “I bought the Intruder in May 2006 with 4,400 miles, it has 14,200 miles on it now. I still own this bike and don't have any plans to sell it.

I keep adding extras to this motorcycle. I have added the following:
  Floorboards with Heel/Toe shifter
  Chrome Radiator
  Designer Handle grips
Hard Saddlebags (Specially designed, Airbrushed & Liquid Coated) The brackets to hold these saddle bags were specially designed and manufactured by a friend of mine. Also, special lights were added to the rear of saddlebags for turn signals, to replace original signals that
had to be removed.
  Highways Bars
  Suzuki Foot Pegs
Thermometer & Clock added to handle bars
A Chrome Visor was added to the headlight

I love this motorcycle. Suzuki makes a fine machine. This bike is fast, handles very well, comfortable to ride long distances, very economical (50 mpg), low enough for my short frame to sit on with my feet planted flat on the ground and is a real Eye Catcher. I get compliments on it wherever I go!

This bike has been very dependable and is always ready for me to ride. I can't say enough good things about this Suzuki... I love it”

“These pictures are of my bike only after i mounted the headlight and turning signals, about three weeks after I bought the bike,” Danny writes. “With the oil cooler exposed like it was I got nervous about small rocks and bugs hitting it. So I went to a hardware store and grabbed a perforated piece of steel for a fireplace. I cut it, bent it to shape, painted a nice skull with wings on the and mounted it in pretty easily, problem solved!”

1990 Suzuki GS 1100 F Katana

Owner: Danny Flinchum,
Rochester, New York USA

Comments: “I'm 21 years old and just picked up this bike about six months ago for 500 dollars. The bike was crashed into a mail box on the left side and the left fork leading the charge and then laid down into a field.

In the process all the fairings and the turning signals were broken, left foot peg ripped off and the left front caliper was damaged. This bike came with the original front windshield fairing with the retractable windshield but with not plastics and no headlight mounted on it, it was a huge eyesore.

First thing I did was unbolted the cluster display and the horn and then proceeded to take of this ghastly thing. I ordered all above mentioned parts as well as a new started solenoid it had needed. The front and back turn signals came to about 65 dollars. The headlight was 40, the front forks for 160 dollars. Since I only needed the lower tubes I swapped the uppers and lowers on the new forks and existing ones and that worked great! With the accident I was worried some things may be tweaked but the front rotors, the frame and the triple tree was all mint! So I further myself into the bike.

With no fairings and places to mount anything I had to mount the front fairings on the front wheel fender, which if you ask me looks great! The headlight was meant for stunt bikes and came with rubber straps to hold onto the forks which again looks pretty good.

With the speedo, tachometer, fuel gauge, and all indicators are in the one fairly large display, it made it very troublesome to mount back on my bike with the small headlight I have. I'm in the process of finding old cases off of an old cruiser, just a round case to mount the factory speedo gauge and fuel gauge in circle cases. Saves me money by not having to buy an electronic speedo and a headache from an aftermarket company which might not be accurate. This I'm still in the process of doing but will mount the speedo to the left of the ignition and the fuel gauge on the right side of the frame next to the ignition coil, or where i find convenient and easy. I'm going to keep the tachometer to maybe put on another time but for now I don't plan on racing my bike so I figure I can listen to the bike and use my head for the indicators, not too hard!

Everything on my bike is almost set except i'm putting new piston sleeves on the left caliper and trying to find some old circle speedo cases, other then that its almost set to go. ”
