GT550A GT 550 GT-550
1976 Suzuki GT550

Owner: W. Boonstra, Emmeloord,
the Netherlands

Comments: ”
As I told in april this year (see page 55), I started motorcycling in 1976 on a Suzuki GT 550. I owned the two-stroke machine for one year. I moved over to a four-stroker, the GS 750, in 1977.

As you can see in the pictures, I now own a GT 550 again. The GT 550, built in 1976, was in a reasonable state. I didn't restore it, but cleaned it up and repainted it in the original Targa Red color.

The front fender and the turnsignal lamps are new. I hope to find Suzuki original parts somewhere.

The sound of silence is broken when the two-stroker brakes the wind of Holland. It's beautiful to hear it! Many people turn their heads to look at it and recognize the best years of the seventies when it is parked in town.”

Comments: ”
Just fond your site, excellent. Attached is a picture of my Kettle. I have owned it since 1979 and it is still my favourite motorcycle.

I own three, two GT750's and a 1200 Bandit. I will send pictures of my other bikes some time in the future.”

1976 Suzuki TC185

Owner: Stephen Snider, Oregon, USA

Comments: ”
I'm attaching two pictures of me and my motorcycle, a 1976 TC185 that I sort of inherited from my dad. It has roughly 14,000 miles on it.

My dad bought it quite a while ago, not sure on the year.

I love this bike.

It is perfect for beginners because it is so light that you can basically 'put' it wherever you need to be on the road, and it won't balk. It's also fun to take out to the dirt on weekends, after removing the turn signals and mirror.”

Suzuki RB-50GAG

1988 Solifer-Suzuki R (RB50)

Owner: Tomi Riihiaho, Karjaa Finland

Comments: ”Our R is now painted beautiful red, naturally by my brother Lasse, he is a professional painter. We cleaned the entire bike inside out, Lasse also re-coated all the black parts and even the frame. So there is nothing showing of the original paintjob.

There is two tribals on the sides of the bike, and one smaller on the rear.

Lasse did all the painting and everything on the bike is cleaned up by Lasse, me and our father Olli.
Please e-mail me if you have any new ideas or improvements!”

Here's more Suzuki RB50 info.

See even Tomi's Solifer-Suzuki S1 on pages 40 and 62. There's also older pictures of the RB50, before the new paint job, on page 57.

Walter WolfGAG

1986 Suzuki RG250 Walter Wolf

Owner: Dawn Rowe,
Luton, Bedfordshire, England

Comments: ”I bought the bike in 1999 from a local dealer, with it came all the mot's and the mileage seems genuine. I believe it's a Japanese import, I have never seen another one.

I think that the lower belly pan has been added, but I like it. It's year of registration is 1986 (UK D reg).”
