1970 Suzuki TS 250 Savage
.
Owner: L Swanson,
Kasson, Minnesota USA
.
Comments: “This is the TS-250 I purchased new in 1970. It was my dirt bike for 30 years, but now pain hurts my 65-year old body, so I put it back in street trim.
.
Everything is original on the bike including the tires and the battery (it doesn't hold the charge very well). Yes, it runs just fine and no, I don't want to sell it.
.
The '70 Savage was available in yellow or orange. Mine was the last one the dealer had, but I like orange just fine. If I remember right the price was a year end close out for $525. I purchased it in Alsip, Illinois, USA.
.
These were nice, casual off road bikes for their day. It handled well and had adequate power.
.
I had been riding a 441 BSA Victor. I missed the thumping power of the Victor, but the Suzy was a real treat for handling and it actually started when I kicked it.”

1985 Suzuki GS 1150 E
.
Owner: Justin Slaughter,
Tontitown, Arkansas USA
.
Comments: ” I bought my GS1150E along with its sister bike (black and red) for $2500. Modifications include a wheelie bar and strut set up downdraft carburetors and boring to 1,750cc.
.
This bike is sick... 4th gear pulls on GSX-R750s and 1000s, no problem.
.
I am 20 years old. This is my first bike and I love this thing...”

1986 Suzuki RB 50 GAG (GSX-R50)
.
Owner: Anastasios Sofotasios,
Didymotiho, Greece
.
Purchased: 1990, never going to sell this bike.
.
Mileage: 10,400 km (it was not ridden in 12 years)
.
Modifications: None, only original parts, even the stickers.
.
Comments: “This bike it's a small toy! But it can be dangerous if you think you can ride it easily. The 10-inch wheels make you feel every rub, hence you can graze your ass instead your knees!
.
It has not much power and I try to convince my brother to take it a step further (bigger cylinder bore, carb, exhaust etc). The front disk brake is good, but they fade easily when hot. Rear brake drum is very good, that helps a lot.
.
If you get the BR50 on a go-cart track you get much fun. On the open road with wide curves it's not as fun, cause the bike's speed is limited. The bigger speed you can give it the best fun you'll have. In curves you can scrape your knees and that's not only because the bike is short, but because of it's geometry as well.”

Comments: “Hi, Thought you might like a photo of a Suzuki SB 200 that I bought recently. Found it in a barn in France though it is registered in England. It is very clean and has 23,140 miles on the clock. The front mudguard is not original, it is black and not chrome.”

Comments: “I have been one your site a few times and though these pictures might be suitable for you to host of my 1970 Suzuki U50 step-through, which has just been restored.
.
I can supply more data for the original brochure if you wish.”

My response:
Many thanks for the pictures, Maurice! It's a lot easier to find pictures and info of the the big and expensive machines than of the small Suzukis. Please do send more data and big scans of the original brochure if you can! :-)
