Click to enlarge. The 47cc 2-strokes U50, U50D (with electric starter) and the 69cc U70 were launched in October 1966. Suzuki said that the U70 featured a body with wave lines reminiscent of a swan floating on a lake. The easy-to-use bike was equipped with a 69cc 2-stroke air-cooled single-cylinder engine delivering 6 hp peak power at 7,000 rpm. It had an automatic centrifugal clutch and a rotary 3-speed transmission. The U70 seat opens forward, and the fuel tank is located on the right side. Printed in Japan, October 1966 (Showa 41). |
