I have tried to tell the Suzuki GSX-RR racing bikes' model history on this page as I know it. The
page is still under construction.
I would be grateful of any contributions sales brochures, magazine ads,
magazine articles, pictures, specs, facts, corrections etc. Please scan the material
in JPEG format (large enough that all the details are visible) and send
them to me. Please tell me the source and the publication date if possible.
If you send me pictures of your own bike, please follow these
instructions.
This is a growing web site,
managed by one person on his leisure time (me).
All the pages are constantly under construction.

2014 Team Suzuki MotoGP rider #14 Randy de Puniet
Suzuki suspended its MotoGP activities at the end of 2011 season, citing the global economic crisis, but since 2012 a prototype was spotted testing in several occasions. Initially the prototype was dubbed GSV-R by the media, like its predecessor.
In 2013 it started to take part in official tests, with Randy de Puniet and Nobuatsu Aoki as development and test riders. The machine was now internally codenamed XRH-1. On September 30, 2014, at the Intermot fair, Suzuki officially announced to return in the Premier class in 2015, with Aleix Espargaró (Spain), who was ranked seventh in the MotoGP class last season, and Maverick Viñales (Spain), who has stepped up from the Moto2 class, as regular riders.
The prototype of the GT racer was given the name GSX-RR.
The photos below shows the 2015 GSX-RR#14 that Randy de Puniet debuted at Valencia on November 7-9th of 2014 as a wild-card entry, competing for Team Suzuki MotoGP. He failed to complete more than half of the race.

2015 Team Suzuki Ecstar riders #25 Maverick Vinales and #41 Aleix Espargarò
On March 6, 2015, prior to the beginning of the 2015 season, Suzuki unveiled its MotoGP team name as Team Suzuki Ecstar, a team competing in the MotoGP class of the world’s premier motorcycle racing series, the FIM* Road Racing Grand Prix (MotoGP).
Ecstar is the brand name of Suzuki’s genuine high-performance engine oil, which has been on sale since 1984. It has been sold mainly in Japan and exported from Japan. Its name derives from the words Ecstatic and Star, meaning “the star of ecstatic performance.”

2019 Team Suzuki Ecstar riders #29 Andrea Iannone and #42 Alex Rins
Team Suzuki Ecstar has further enhanced the cornering performance of its racing machine GSX-RR, installed with in-line four-cylinder engine. Alex Rins (Spain), who was ranked fifth in the MotoGP class last season, will be joined with new rider Joan Mir (Spain), who has stepped up from the Moto2 class, and compete aboard the GSX-RR.
The 2019 season started from the Grand Prix of Qatar on 10 March and ends to the final round in Valencia on 17 November. 19 races are to be held in 15 countries including the Grand Prix in Japan on 20 October.
Suzuki aims not only to surpass the previous season results, but to further enhance machine development to fight regularly for podiums, while developing more attractive products by giving technical feedback to the products, as well as improving the brand image.
GSX-RR is installed with in-line four-cylinder engine that realises a strong, flexible engine character, fuel efficiency, and durability at a high level. The frame has a layout that keeps its Width slim for both manoeuvrability and aerodynamic performances, and optimises body strength and weight balance. For the 2019 season, the machine was developed to balance cornering performance from the point where the machine decelerates to enter the corner, to the point where it accelerates at the corner exit, at a high level.
