I have tried to tell the Suzuki GSX-S 1000 GT model history on this page as I know it. The GSX-S1000GT was launched for the 2022 by Suzuki to replace the GSX-1000F model. It builds on the successful revision of the naked GSX-S1000. The engine is still the 2005 GSX-R1000 K5 sportsbike unit, producing around 152 hp, now driving through an assisted slipper clutch and utilising a ride-by-wire throttle. Chassis the same as on the naked GSX-S1000 but new subframe allows for pannier fitment and better pillion comfor. Suspension is by KYB and brakes by Brembo. The biggest changes are in the bodywork and appearance. Gone are the slightly bland soft curves of the outgoing GSX-S1000F and in come sharp lines that bear no resemblance to any other Suzuki. First on any Suzuki, the GSX-S1000GT has a new full-colour 6.5" TFT dash. It can be paired with phone for navigation, phone call and music management via Bluetooth. In line with many other manufacturers, Suzuki now has its own app, called Suzuki mySPIN. the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System controls the engine power modes, traction control and cruise control. The in-line four-cylinder engine was never bad in terms of vibration but Suzuki has still rubber mounted the handlebars and foot pegs. The fuel tank holds 19 litres and the whole package weighs 226 kg (498 lbs) wet.

A special edition model called Panorama GT is offered for the Australian customers. It's named after the famous Mount Panorama racing circuit in Bathurst NSW. The Panorama GT is equipped with a 72 liter side case set with matching colour garnish as standard fitment. In other countries, the genuin Suzuki case set can be bought separately. In some countries, this sport tourer was sold as the GSX-S1000GT+ that had integrated side cases as standard. There were three colour choices to choose from on the 2024 GSX-S1000GT and the luggage-equipped GSX-S1000GT+. The popular, and trademark Metallic Triton Blue continued to be available, alongside a new all-red version with bronze wheels and subframe. Retaining the bronze wheels and subframe is a new Glass Sparkle Black variant. Technically, the 2024 GSX-S1000GT remains unchanged. 2024 GSX-1000GT color options: Metallic Triton Blue (YSF), Candy Daring Red (YYG) and Glass Sparkle Black (YVB).

The 2025 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT, released in November 2024, remained technically unchanged but was now offered in two new colors. Pearl Vigor Blue (YKY) replaced the Triton Blue Metallic and Metallic Oort Gray No.3 (QEB), replacing the Glass Sparkle Black, was a was a new choise of color. The third livery option, Candy Daring Red (YYG), was carried over from the previous years' catalogue. Technically, the 2025 GSX-S1000GT remains unchanged.
