page as I know it.
I would be grateful of any contributions sales brochures, magazine ads,
magazine articles, pictures, specs, facts, corrections etc. Please scan the material
in JPEG format (large enough that all the details are visible) and send
them to me. Please tell me the source and the publication date if possible.
If you send me pictures of your own bike, please follow these

1996 Suzuki year code: T

The Revelation! Suzuki listened to its customers and brought
the GSX-R750 back to where it should have been. With a new chassis,
new engine, 39 mm carbs and new shape it importantly was down
20 kg to 179 kg with 128 hp and pin-sharp handling.
The GSX-R750T was again targeted for the Superbike crown using
technologies derived straight from the 500cc GP racer. It even
looked like the RGV500 works machine Kevin Schwantz rode in
the World Championships the year before.
The new GSX-R750 model was as extreme as the first model a decade
earlier. The wheelbase was shortened to 1 400 mm and the new
24° caster aluminium twin-spar frame (instead of double
craddle) was very rigid and the new engine an impressive work
of egineering, being the most compact and lightweight engine
in the class. The new short stroke (72 x 46 mm) water-cooled
DOHC four-valve engine was titled 25 degrees forward. It feautured
SCEM (Silicon Carbide Electro-Plate) cylinder to reduce cylinder
pitch and use of straight ports and the new SRAD (Suzuki Ram
Air Direct) induction and electronically controlled BDSR 39mm
carburetors. Lightweight magnesium covers were used to the cylinder
head, starter motor, clutch, drive gear and other areas. These
and other weight savings enabled the new model to achieve the
same dry weight of 179 kg as the original 1985 GSX-R750. The
43mm inverted tube front fork and rear shock were both fully
adjustable.

More of the same with only slight mods and a few internal changes
for the GSX-R750V. The aerodynamics of the slanted nose overhanging
over the front tyre and the rounded contours of the large detachable
single seat tail cowl were borrowed straight from the RGV-T. The
large seat cowl also has the distinction of making any followers'
slipstreaming difficult in races.
High power, high reliability
and the compact and lightweight features of the engine and the
chassis enabled the riders on the GSX-R750 to shine on the track
and the street riders to enjoy handling ease of a 400cc class
chassis but with explosive acceleration. New graphics.

1998 Suzuki year code: W

Electronic fuel injection appeared for the first time on a GSX-R
with large 46 mm throttle bodies together with a steering damper
as standard, a five mm shorter wheelbase, altered internal and
external gear ratios, altered chassis, suspension and brakes,
internal engine mods and massive airbox. Power was up to
135 hp. An absolute gem to ride. Suzuki made a class-leading
sportsbike even better.
Two-stage system monitored water and intake air temperatures,
environmental and intake air pressures, throttle position and
engine rpm to optimal air/fuel mix for both low and high rpm situations.
CDI ignition coil was adopted and internal engine parts saw further
weight reduction and the camshaft position use of close ratio
gearbox and strengthening of rear shock mount.
