Suzuki DR100

I have tried to tell the Suzuki DR 100 model history on this page as I know it. This page is still under construction. Suzuki DR100 was a small motocross/enduro/trail bike produced from 1983 through to 1990. Its 99.6 cc four stroke engine delivered enough power to scare the novice rider but even to make the ride enjoyable for any fun-loving bike. Bike's light weight, low seat height, and the mild mannered TDCC four-stroke engine with decent amount of power, six-speed transmission, leading axle front and Full Floater rear suspension made it a serious dirt bike for the young riders. For the more experienced riders, it could be a fun playbike with decent suspension that was easy to control. If you were not very tall and heavy. The Suzuki DR100 was quite small bike. It had a 17-inch wheel at the front and a tiny 14-inch wheel at the rear. Its big brother, the DR125, launched in '82, had full-sized 21-inch and 17-inch wheels and suited better for learning adults or oversized kids. It also had a suspension that could be pushed harder. The DR100 was relatively cheap bike and worked just fine for the kids under 10 years or so, but was meant to be an entry lever bike for kids that would upgare to bigger and better bikes when they grow up. Novices gaining their teeth on these lightweights would tend to upgrade to motorcycles from the same manufacturer. Suzuki covered the four-stroke enduro range nicely, producing competent machinery that was especially popular in its key market, North America.´
