Suzuki GSF650 Bandit

I have tried to tell the Suzuki Bandit 650 (GSF 650 and GSF 650 S) model history on this page as I know it. This page is still under construction. 2005 Suzuki year code: K5

The 600 and 1200 Bandit models got upgraded for the 2005. The GSF600 Bandit got a new larger engine and is now called GSF650 Bandit. The piston displacement was increased by 56cc for better torque at low- and mid-revs. The bike is 4 kg (9 lbs) lighter and the suspension also revisited with more adjustements both front and rear. The seat height can be adjusted on the 2005-year's model, between 770 and 790 mm (19.56 to 20.07 inches). Also the handlebar height can be adjusted by one centimeter (0.4 inches). The new engine is black. The 2007-year's Bandit 650 was upgraded in many ways, although t is not easy for an untrained eye to spot the differences between it and the previous incarnation. The old GSX-R600-derived air/oil-cooled engine got retired and the Suzuki GSF650 Bandit's engine evolved in 2007 into a new smooth-running liquid-cooled and fuel-injected engine with more torque and more power. Also, the frame and suspension was updated in 2007. According to Suzuki it is 10% stiffer than previously with larger diameter frame tubes. Suspension got stiffer rear shock but slightly softer front end. 2009 Suzuki year code: K9

For 2009 the GSF650S gets a new nose fairing making it look much sleeker and grown-up and complete with two useful storage pockets in the fairing. The naked version gets a more modern looking front light. Both bikes get black engines, new silencers, a new set of clocks, a new tail light and new indicators. Optional ABS is not as modern as the competition but it's more than adequate. Color options: Candy Indy Blue (YKZ), Pearl Mira Red (YVZ), Metallic Oort Gray (YHG), Pearl Nebular Black (YAY)
