2021 GSX-R1000R Legend Edition
After clinching its seventh rider's title in the premier class motorcycle World Championship, Suzuki launched a limited Legend Edition, charting every World Champion's paintjob.
The seven titles in 500cc GP and MotoGP were won by Barry Sheene(1976 and 1977), Marco Lucchinelli (1981), Franco Ucini (1982), Kevin Schwantz (1993), Kenny Roberts Jr (2000), and Joan Mir (2020). To celebrate for Mir and Suzuki taking the top step in the championship once more, Suzuki rolls out special GSX-R1000Rs, complete with each of the title-winning paint-schemes.
Alongside the special colours and decals, each bike will also come complete with an Akrapovic exhaust and colour coded seat cowl. |

BARRY SHEENE (1976)
The GSX-R1000R Legend Edition honors in this case the RG500 with which Barry Sheene won the 500cc title with Suzuki in 1976. He obtained 5 victories and a second-place that earned him, in fact, the conquest of the first world title. The bike shows the unmistakable number 7 of the British driver and the famous Team Heron – Texaco cores. |

BARRY SHEENE (1977)
With a total of 5 first places and two podiums, the "crazy horse" was crowned World Champion in 1981 and brought Suzuki back to the top of the standings, four years after the last title. )
In 1977 Barry Sheene was able to repeat the success of the previous year, again with a Suzuki RG500. The GSX-R1000R Legend Edition that is inspired by this bike returns to play with the cores of Equipe Heron -Texaco, but with a large Suzuki logo displayed in the fairing. Again, number 7. In 1977 Sheene managed to take home 6 victories and a 2nd place that allowed him to become World Champion for the second year in a row. |

MARCO LUCCHINELLI (1981)
The third GSX-R1000R Legend Edition commemorates the 500 World Championship that Marco Lucchinelli won in 1981 with the Gallina team. The top and bottom of the bike are in Dark Blue, White dominates the middle parts of the bike. A yellow plaque shows Lucchinelli's number 5 and a star that was his lucky charm. With a total of 5 first places and two podiums, the "crazy horse" was crowned World Champion in 1981 and brought Suzuki back to the top of the standings, four years after the latest title. |

FRANK UNCINI (1982)
In 1982, Equipa Gallina managed to take the RG500 back to the top at the World Championship, this time with Franco Uncini. The GSX-R1000R Legend Edition that reproduces the appearance of his motorcycle is dressed in Blue with a White/Dark Blue band. Gallinas had number 13. |

KEVIN SCHWANTZ (1993)
The fifth GSX-R1000R Legend Edition is dedicated to Kevin Schwantz and his Lucky Strike sponsored winner bike. Kevin Schwantz became World Champion in 1993, bringing the title back to Suzuki after more than a decade. Schwantz is one of the most iconic and beloved riders on the world motorcycle scene.
His number was 34. |

KENNY ROBERTS JR. (2000)
The Bright Blue and Light Yellow chequered flag design was used by Kenny Roberts Jr when he won the World Championship in 2000 with a Suzuki the RGV-R 500. His lucky number was 2. |

JOAN MIR (2020)
Combining an attentive and clean riding style, Joan Mir is crowned the 2020 MotoGP World Champion. To celebrate the world championship conquered by him, the seventh GSX-R1000R Legend Edition was painted with the Ecstar Team colors and Mir's number 1. It is a different livery from the Anniversary version that was released in 2020. |
