Suzuki DF125E

I have tried to tell the Suzuki DF 125 E model history on this page as I know it. This page is still under construction. The Suzuki DF125E was launched at the same time as its larger sibling, DF200E. It was based on the dual sport DR125 but with the same heavy-duty fashionability and functions as its big brother. Short history: The Suzuki DR125 was presented as a 1982 year's model, equipped with an easy-to-use and highly reliable 125 cc four-stroke air-cooled single cylinder SOHC engine. Like some other DR models, the DR125 was available in different versions. At first, there were the pure trail version, DR125, with no license plate holder or mirrors, and the DR125S, a street-legal version of the same bike. In 1994 an electric starter replaced the kick starter, and the street legal version's name was changed to DR125SE. The Suzuki DF125E had both kick start and electric starter. It had a big round headlight, surrounded by extra protection of the lights. It also had crash bars protecting the engine, extra long mud flaps and generous luggage racks front and rear.

The two color options offered in Japan were called Alum Green No.2 / Marble Prime Green (J2J) and Marble Aztec Orange (Z94). I haven't found any other color option, I believe that there were no updates what so ever made for the Suzuki DF125E. It wasn't a long-lived model. Accordning to Suzuki's files the model was was discontinued in 1999.
