The first version of the 125 cc Suzuki Address was released in 1991. It has been a huge success for Suzuki and the lightweight, compact and rather powerful scooter has been updated and redesigned many times since then. The newly developed 124 cc engine of the new model, launched in 2017, achievd, according to Suzuki, both smooth acceleration performance and excellent fuel efficiency by improving combustion efficiency and reducing friction. ”A comfortable riding position has been realized by securing a spacious and flat foot space while adopting a design that incorporates novelty in a relaxed manner. In addition, user-friendly equipment such as a trunk space under the seat, a front inner rack, and a steering lock with a seat unlocking function are adopted” Suzuki says.

Suzuki Address 125 launch date in Japan: September 29, 2017 Initial domestic model of Address 125 released in September 2017. Equipped with a 124cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces good fuel efficiency of 52km per liter (at 60km/h level driving), the body is compact, and the flat foot space is also an advantage. The front has 12-inch wheels, but the seat height is the same as the Address V125S (745mm).  Address V125 series, produced in China, was officially imported to Japan and released as Adress 125 in September 2017. The engine is the same 124cc air-cooled single-cylinder SEP engine as the Address 110. The front wheel size is now 12 inches. Spacious and flat floor space. The storage space under the seat is 18 liters. A large bag holder and rear carrier are also standard equipment. The full model code for this version of the Suzuki Address 125 is 2BJ-DT11A. In March 2018, the Address 125 ”Flat Seat” model was added to the lineup with slightly higher seat height and increased luggage space capacity. As the name suggests, it's a variation model in which the seat surface of the Address 125 is flattened to increase the capacity of the trunk space under the seat. The seat height (rider side) was 760mm, which was 745mm in the base model. The retail price of the Flat Seat specification model wa somewhat higher than the standard model. 2020 Suzuki Address 125 launch date in Japan: September 26, 2019 As the year before, two model versions were available; ”Address 125” (UU125) and ”Address 125 Flat Seat specification” (UU125NZQ). The wheels were now painted Black. Candy Partician Red (PVQ) was now available again as a color option for the Address 125, along with the Pearl Graceful White (QMT) and Pearl Novelty Black (33J) colors. The Address 125 Flat Seat Specification colors were the new color Flash Silver Metallic (Y2D) and continuing colors Pearl Graceful White (QMT) and Pearl Novelty Black (33J).

2023 Address 125 launch date in Japan: October 18, 2022 In October 2020, the Address 125 went through a full model change. The model that had been lined up in the Indian market since December 2019 as ”Access 125” was launched in October 2022 as the "Address 125" for Europe. Its new fuel-injected engine cleared the strict 2020 exhaust gas regulations. The body has a rounder design, high-visibility LEDs are used for the headlamps and position lamps. In addition to adopting a key cylinder with a shutter that securely guards the keyhole, it is fully equipped with user-friendly equipment such as an under-seat trunk space equipped with two helmet holders, a left front inner rack, and a USB socket for a phone charger. There's a hook under the handlebar to hang a grocery bag or a handbag. The speedometer is a simple, easy-to-read analog type, and eco-driving illumination has been adopted around the meter to let you know the driving situation by changing the color of the lamp from blue to green.  The scooter has combination brakes – using the the left brake lever activates both front and rear brakes. Four color options: Metallic Dark Greenish Blue (QTZ), Metallic Matt Bordeaux Red (QMV). Pearl Mirage White (YPA) and Matte Black Metallic No.2 The Suzuki Address 125 is now made in India, where it is sold with a different name. In India, it's still called Suzuki Avenis 125. In January 2025 Suzuki presented a new, updated version of the Suzuki Address 125that featured a restyled body, a 124cc Eco Performance (SEP) engine, and updated features for improved acceleration, fuel efficiency, and emissions compliance with Euro 5+ standards. It was offered in three different colors: Metallic Mat Stellar Blue (YUA), Pearl Grace White (Q1S) and Metallic Mat Black No.2 (YKV). But, the model was presented as 2026 year's model.

Updated model. The updated Address 125 scooter received a revised engine that produces more peak torque lower down the rev range, thanks to changes to its camshaft profile and airbox. It also got a revised lighter frame, new wheels, and a new fuel tank that is slightly larger and 25% lighter. Even the underseat storage space was made larger. Underseat storage space is increased from 21.8 litres to 24.4 litres, and a second inner storage pocket has been added up front, with one housing a USB charging port, and there are two utility hooks to hang bags and two helmet hooks under the seat. The bodywork has been restyled, yet the Address 125 still continues to embody classic scooter design. At its heart remains Suzuki’s Eco Performance engine (SEP). The new version meets the latest Euro 5+ emissions standards, achieving 148.6 mpg, emitting just 45 g/km of CO2. That comes with a price – the engine's peak power is now 8.2 hp (compared to earlier 8.7 hp) but made 250 rpm further down the rev range than before, at 6,500 rpm. Peak torque was increases to 10.2 Nm and is now made at 5,000 rpm – compared to 10 Nm at 5,500 rpm on the previous model. Suzuki says that the updated underbone frame is 1 kg lighter than the previous version, and increases torsional rigidity by 25%. new seat and new pillion footpegs which are lighter and 15 mm longer. A new steel leg shield offers more protection in case of a drop. Although all the ”weight loss” the M6 model was 1 kg (2.2 lbs) heavier that the previous version.
