Suzuki's Skydrive Sport is, as the name implies, a sportier version of their Skydrive scooter, powered by a 113 cc 4-stroke, air-cooled, SOHC, 2-valve, single-cylinder engine. The Skydrive Sport is a smaller sibling to its 125 cc stablemate, focusing on style to better appeal to its ”millenial” target market.
Launched in the last quarter of 2018, the Skydrive Sport is one of Suzuki’s latest offerings in the entry-level scooter segment for the Asian market. With the campaign slogan ”Set the Trend”, the Skydrive Sport is intended for younger customers. User-friendly features and a budget-friendly pricetag give it an edge in the competitive commuter bike market.
The Skydrive Sport is
powered by a a 113 cc 4-stroke single cylinder air-cooled, fuel-injected SOHC engine that makes 9.1 horsepower and 8.5 Nm of torque. It’s paired to a automatic CVT transmission. It’s brought to a stop with a single disc at the front and a drum brake in the rear. It has a 3.7-liter fuel tank. Thanks to its great fuel efficiency, that should be enough to move the scooter with a low 93kg curb weight for quite some distance.
Suzuki Skydrive Sport has a steel tube underbone frame with front suspension being telescopic, coil spring oil damped and at the rear, it is equipped with swing arm and oil damped dual shock absorbers. Stock tire sizes are 80/90-14 on the front, and 80/90-14 on the rear. |
