The Madura was aimed for the Nortern American market and none of the models were ever imported to Sweden. 1985 was the only model year for the GV700, the GV1200 was manufactured for few more years. Some Madura specs in Allt om MC (Sweden), July 1984: GV1200 Madura bore x stroke: 78,0 x 61,0 mm (1.165 cc), four Mikuni BDS carburetors (36 mm), compression ratio 10,5 :1, 6 speeds, air assisted front fork, disc brakes front/rear, 19-inch front wheel, 17-inch rear wheel, 13 liter fuel tank. GV700 Madura bore x stroke: 69,0 x 46,7 mm (1.165 cc), four Mikuni BDS carburetors (33 mm) compression ratio 10,5 :1, 6 speeds, air assisted front fork, disc brakes front, drum brake rear, 19-inch front wheel, 17-inch rear wheel, 13 liter fuel tank. Some Madura specs in Cycle magazine (USA), January 1986: The V1200 BHP is 89.36 max @ 8500 rpm and the torque is 61.41 max. @ 6 000 rpm. In a standing start 1/4 mile, it finishes in 11.36 sec @ 117.18 mph.
