1973 Suzuki year code: K

Suzuki K90 featured a pressed backbone frame and a rotary disc valve engine, proven in the A90 model. According to Suzuki, the early models delivered high performance with a maximum output of 8.4 ps at 7,500 rpm and a top speed of 100 km/h. From 1970 on the peak power was a bit lower, 7.5 ps at 6,500 rpm.
From start, a key feature of the K90 was the CCI lubrication system, which enabled continuous high-speed driving and made the pre-mixing of fuel and oil redundant. In terms of design, the K90 and A90 had similar fuel tanks.

1978 Suzuki year code: C
| All the Suzuki K model received a facelift in 1978. Apart from cosmetic upgrades, the K90 remained unchanged until the model was terminated in year 2000. |

The styling of the K90 was completely updated by changing the shape of the fuel tank and frame cover in 1978. All Suzuki's K models were redesigned that year. K90's 90 cm³ 2-stroke 1-cylinder reed valve engine was continuously equipped with the well-established air-cooled 2-cycle single-cylinder engine with a maximum output of 7.5 PS (reduced to 7.3 from 1987) and maximum torque of 9.3 Nm. The remodeled appearance of the K90 remained on sale until it was withdrawn from the market in 2000.
