I
have tried to tell the VL 800 Intruder Volusia model history on
this page as I know it.
I would be grateful of any contributions sales brochures, magazine ads,
magazine articles, pictures, specs, facts, corrections etc. Please scan the material
in JPEG format (large enough that all the details are visible) and send
them to me. Please tell me the source and the publication date if possible.

2001 Suzuki year code: K1

Suzuki VL800 Intruder Volusia, presented as a 2001-year's model, is a beautiful
heavy cruiser in true California spirit. It has a 45° liquid-cooled
805cc V-twin, deep fenders, a fat 17-liter (4.5 gallon) fuel tank
and the longest wheelbase in its class.

2003 Suzuki year code: K3

A Limited edition model was available in
the USA (beginning March/April 2003) with a special American Suzuki
40th Anniversary emblem mounted on the upper triple clamps, plus
the following features: Pearl White color scheme with Gold pin-striping,
White speedometer face with orange backlighting, rider and passenger
seats trimmed with chrome studs, special ignition key fob and
key chain.

New features: Standard 4-way emergency flasher and and high beam
passing switch, multi-reflector turn signals.
Suzuki presented also a Limited Edition model with special paint
scheme (Black flames), studded seats, White speedometer face and
Limited Edition emblem. Much alike the 2003 American Suzuki 40th
Anniversary except for the color.
