The third three-quarter. The Finnish, excellent
magazine (not only motorcycles, mostly cars, but even all kinds
of techical inventions and useful items, from photography to home
electronics) began an 30,000 km long-term testing an '81 GSX750E,
here called only GSX750 as the naked model was often called.
The magazine had already compared the new 16-valve Suzuki with
Honda CB750K (TM 2/1981), and the Suzuki won the battle, but only
with a small margin. The '80 GSX750E's best features were its
front brakes, the transmission, the front light, its performance
and for its engine. The front suspension and the rear dampers
were concidered as too soft and the fuel gauge was far from accurate.
The new '81 year's test bike's didn't suffer from any such suspension
problems. |
