Suzuki GSX500ES magazine articles

I have put some Suzuki GSX 500 ES article scans on this page. 1984 Suzuki GSX500ES comparison test from Finland (6 pages). Click to enlarge. This magazine article was published in Tekniikan Maailma 16/1984. It is the only article I have even seen on this Suzuki model. It looks like the GSX550ES but it has a 498cc engine. Anyway, the test riders liked the looks of the Suzuki, the metering bridge and the fact that the engine was clearly visible and therefore easy to clean and maintain. They didn't like the windshield (inefficient) and the engine could have been stronger. It wasn't possible for the riders to decide which one of the models, the Honda VF500F, the Kawasaki GPZ550 or the Suzuki GSX500ES, was the best. The Honda was the sportiest and the Kawasaki the largest and the most suitable for touring, Suzuki was somewhere in-between them. ”Those who can't decide but want to enjoy both types of riding, will choose the Suzuki.”
