Suzuki GSX250S Katana

| I have tried to tell the Suzuki GSX 250 S Katana model history
on this page as I know it.
I would be grateful of any contributions — sales brochures, magazine ads,
magazine articles, pictures, specs, facts, corrections etc. Please scan the material

The smallest member of the Katana family, GSX250S
Katana, introduced in 1991. The design is a faithful copy of the
original GSX1100S Katana, presented ten years earlier. However,
the 250cc Katana had a modern, liquid-cooled, TSCC engine with
slingshot carburetors, capable for 170 km/h.
The model can easily
be recognized thanks to its 17-inch 3-spoke cast wheels and the
single disc brake at the front. At first the model was available
only in one color: Katana Silver. The saddle coloring was Black/Grey.

As far as I know GSX250S Katana was made only
for the 1991 and 1992 seasons. The '92 GSX250S Katana was released in November 1991 and it was available
ony in Red/Silve with Red/White saddle. Later in the year a Limited Edition in Gun Metal Grey with Black/Grey saddle was released for the home market. Both models had black engines and carburetors.
