In 1989 Suzuki presented a new model, GSX250S Cobra.
In short terms you can say that it was a naked version of the
Suzuki racing replica GSX-R250R. It shared the same mechanics
but didn't have the GSXR's fairing and the twin disc front brake
and the 18-inch rear wheel. The Cobra was a fast and advanced
bike. Unfortunately the GSX250 bandit was released only three
months after the Cobra. The Bandit wasn't as advanced a bike but
it was easier to ride and was much cheaper. The GSX250S Cobra
was soon discontinued.
