| I have tried to tell the Suzuki GSX 1100 ES model history
on this page as I know it.
I would be grateful of any contributions sales brochures, magazine ads,
magazine articles, pictures, specs, facts, corrections etc. Please scan the material

GSX1100ESD was introduced in February 1983 with the same specifications
as the GSX1100ED but with a half fairing, with the new black finished
engine. Colors: blue/white.

Premier for the US market, where the model was called GS1150ES.
In 1984 the GSX1100ES/GS1150ES was the fastest production motorcycle
available. Power in 1984 (USA model) was 119 bhp at 8.500rpm,
with torque of 81 ft/lbs at 6.500rpm. Wet weight was 557 lbs.
Colors: red/white.

Some sources claim that the GSX1100ES/GS1150ES was discontinued
in March 1985. Still, the model was available in some countries
as late as 1988.
