Suzuki GP125 model history
1978—1981

I have tried to tell the Suzuki GP 125 model history on this page as I know it. A low cost, economy version of the GT125/RG125 single two-stroke. The model name GP was apparently adopted from racing world (Grand Prix), the GP125 shared the bore and stroke dimensions with the 1976/1977 Suzuki RG500 works racer. Presented for the Japanese home market in March 1978.

The biggest difference between the 1978 RG125/GT125 and the GP125 was that the RG had a twin engine with piston reed valves while the GP a single cylinder engine with rotary disk valves.
