Suzuki introduced this brand new maxi-scooter model at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo in February 2018. The scooter named Burgman Street belonged to Suzuki's Burgman premium maxi-scooter range, including 125cc, 200cc, 250cc, 400cc and 650cc engine powered versions. Suzuki Burgman Street 125 has a sporty maxi-scooter design with plenty of premium features. It shares several mechanical parts with its younger sibling, the Access 125, among them its 124cc engine. The familiar 124cc mill delivering 8.6 hp at 5000 rpm and 10.2 Nm at 7000 rpm, was mated to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). Suspension duties were taken care of by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The Burgman was offered with 12-inch alloy wheels at the front and 10-inch alloy wheels at the rear. The front wheel was equipped with a disc brake while the rear makes did with a drum brake setup exactly as on the Access. The Burgman also got a multi-function digital information console. The scooter featured low handlebars and a low seat height, which resulted in an upright posture. There is ample storage space under the wide seat and you even get two small cubby spaces up front. The scooter's front end had a big LED headlamp between the edgy fairings at both sides that incorporated the indicators. A short windshield was also present above the headlamp to finish off the maxi-scooter appeal. At the centre, there’s a large footboard and a long seat along with chunky plastic panels. The seat is sizeable even for pillion riders. Speaking of which, the Burgman Street has retractable footpegs and built-in grab bars for pillion riders. At the rear, the Burgman Street had an LED tail light and indicators integrated into a single unit. The rear end added to the maxi-scooter feel of the overall design. The muscular exhaust and the flowing grab handle finished the big yet sporty look of the scooter.

The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 was first shown at the New Delhi Auto Expo in India in February 2018.

Suzuki Burgman Street 125 (UB125EE) was first revealed in february 2018, as 2019-year's (L9) model. It was originally launched with three color schemes. The original launch colors were Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Matte Fibroin Gray and Metallic Matte Black. A special Matte Black Edition was added later in July 2019 with a stealthy matte black paint scheme with no mechanical changes to the standard Burgman Street platform. The 2020 Suzuki Burgman Street 125 was available in these core color options upon its launch: Metallic Matte Fibroin Gray (PGZ), Pearl Mirage White (YPA) and Metallic Matte Black No.2 (YKV), Matte Bordeaux Red (QMV) and Pearl Suzuki Medium Blue No.2 (YBB) added as a special sporty edition in September 2020.

A new color, Glossy Grey (YWC) was introduced to the Burgman Street standard. Suzuki Street also gets a side stand interlock to enhance safety and ensure that the scooter does not start when the interlock is engaged. 2022 Suzuki Burgman Street 125 standard edition liveries and color codes: Glossy Grey (YWC), Pearl Suzuki Medium Blue No.2 (YBB), Metallic Matte Black (YKV), Metallic Matte Bordeaux Red (QMV), Pearl Mirage White (YPA). The Ride Connect model colors were the same, except for the Blue. The Pearl Suzuki Medium Blue was replaced with Matte Blue (YUA).

The standard edition colors were Pearl Moon Stone Grey (YWC), Metallic Matte Black No.2 (YKV), Metallic Matte Bordeaux Red (QMV), Pearl Mirage White (YPA) and Pearl Matte Shadow Green (QU5). 2025 Suzuki year code: M5

Suzuki launched the 2025 model of the Burgman Street and the EX with new colour and OBD-2B upodates in India in March 2025. The Burgman Street Standard could be purchased in Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Matte Titanium Silver, Glossy Grey, Pearl Matte Shadow Green or in Metallic Matte Black No.2. The Burgman Street 125 Ride Connect Edition was available in Pearl Mirage White, Matte Blue, Metallic Matte Titanium Silver, Metallic Matte Black No.2 (YKV), Pearl Matte Shadow Green and Metallic Matte Black No.2. The three color options for the Burgman Street 125 EX were Metallic Matte Stellar Blue, Metallic Matte Black No.2, Metallic Royal Bronze. Other countries didn't have as many color options to choose from. In Philippines, the '25 Suzuki Burgman Street was available in gray, white and black liveries.

2026 Suzuki year code: M6

The 2026 Suzuki Burgman Street, launched in April 2026, received a comprehensive redesign and feature upgrade. With this full model change, its design has been renewed and equipment has been enhanced. The scooter's engine was updated through revisions to internal components and settings. The maximum torque is set at lower rpm, ensuring fuel efficiency while achieving strong acceleration for urban riding. The frame was also updated, achieving a weight reduction of approximately 500 grams and a 25% improvement in torsional rigidity. These enhancements improve straight-line stability and handling performance. For added comfort and convenience, an ignition switch which can unlock the fuel lid and under-seat storage has been adopted. The under-seat storage capacity has also been expanded, making it capable of accommodating a full-face helmet. The wind screen is now smoke-colored. In India ,there were ten different options to choose from. A Burgman Street Ride Connect Edition, that connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth to display turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts, and message notifications directly on its digital dashboard, was available in five colors: Metallic Royal Bronze (QS4), Pearl Mat Shadow Green (QU5), Pearl Grace White (Q1S), Metallic Mat Black No.2 (YKV) and Metallic Mat Stellar Blue (YUA). A premium model, Burgman Street Ride Connect TFT Edition was made available in five dual tone liveries: Pearl Grace White / Metallic Mat Luxe Copper (C2G), Metallic Mat Stellar Blue / Metallic Mat Luxe Copper (C2F), Metallic Mat Platinum Silver No.2 / Metallic Mat Luxe Copper (C25), Metallic Royal Bronze / Metallic Mat Luxe Copper (C2F), Metallic Mat Black No.2 / Metallic Mat Luxe Copper (C2C). The new instrument display of the premium model tells you more that the speed. The 4.2 inch full-color multi-information TFT display more than the speed. It shows things like navigation alerts, call and SMS notifications, fuel efficiency tracking and trip and ride data. The premium model also has a keyless system that automatically locks the scooter when you walk away from the vehicle with the key fob. The key fob lets you start the engine, open the fuel lid, and access under-seat storage without taking the remote fob out of your pocket or bag. Also, an answer-back function helps you find the scooter in crowded parking lots using a remote beep or indicator flash.
