The Dutch Laser Hotcam exhaust systems, made by Jama, the Netherlands, were one of the first European aftermarket cams available for the GSX1400. According the advertisements (with a GSX1400 on a picture!) the effect gain with the 4-2-1 full system is 13,5 horsepower and the weight loss 15 kg (33 lbs) compared to the original system.

I have seen the Laser exhaust system mounted on a GSX1400 at the Karlskoga racing track earlier this year (see pictures above) and it looked quite nice. Personally I wouldn't put carbon type cans on a GSX1400, I don't like the looks of the material but the rest of the system seemed to be well-designed and built.

What about the sound then? I must admit thatI don't remember exactly how it sounded but I'm pretty sure I liked the sound, it made the GSX1400 sound more masculine than with a standard system. The Laser system is less expensive than the more exclusive brands like Akrapovic or Yoshimura.
