Updates on my site
August 2007

Here follows the list of the new or updated stuff on my site. I try to keep this page up to date and write here every update on My Suzuki Pages that might interest you.

6: A reader found an error on the GT185 model history page. The tech specs shown for the '73 GT185 were really the specs for the GT380. “But how I do wish my GT185 had a 6-speed and 38HP,” he wrote. Also, another reader corrected another error. I had told that that the GN250 was a twin cylinder bike. It's not. “I can only guess that you stated it as a twin cylinder because of the twin exhaust pipe headers as I also made this mistake when I bought mine. In fact, the GN250 is only a single cylinder but the twin exhaust pipes are due to the engine having four valves - two for the inlet and two for the exhaust. The valves work off a strange system whereby the inlets are operated by one cam lobe and the exhaust valves are operated by one cam lobe. It makes it interesting job to try and adjust the tappets!” he writes. I've corrected both mistakes. I also put a couple of new Visitors' Suzuki pictures with comments ('80 GS1000L, '06 GN250). Other site managing, minor corrections and link checks.

August 7:
A reader mailed me pictures of his restored RM400N, I used them on the RM400 model history page - and the Visitors' Suzuki pictures with comments page.

August 17:
Another bike picture on the Visitors' Suzuki pictures with comments page ('92 GSX600F).

August 27:
A new GN250E sales brochure (New Zealand).

August 31:
New links to other sites on the Internet, a new links to online parts manuals (USA and Brazil) on the Manual Requests page. New GSX250L brochure scans ('81 Japan), a new image on the GS750E magazine ads page ('80 USA).

Sometimes I get mail from people who complain that their favorite model is not on my site. In many cases they haven't even bothered to look properly or used the search engine. But there are still some models missing. I'm doing my best and will fill in the gaps as fast as I can. This is not my profession; I'm doing this in my spare time. I could use some help to be able to get more things done. Please send me pictures, brochures and specs – or complete model histories... Anything at all that can make the site more complete. Here's more info of how you can contact me.

One more thing: PLEASE visit the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) pages before sending me questions about your bikes, manuals etc. I would love to help you all but I haven't got enough time or knowledge to do that — perhaps you can find an answer to your question on the FAQ pages? Here's the link: Frequently Asked Questions
