Updates on my site
April 2002

Here follows the list of the new or updated stuff on my site. I try to keep this page up to date and write here every update on My Suzuki Pages that might interest you.

April 1: New brochure scans on the DR50, GS650G, GS550M and GSX1100S Katana pages. New models on the All Suzuki Models section (year 1983). Dave Maskell sent me the other part of his story about building a Suzuki TR500 twin race machine replica, I added the text to the Seeley XR05 MK3 page.

April 2: New page about GSX1100S Katana (still under construction). New models on the All Suzuki Models section (year 1984).

April 3: I think I have got the hang of the GSX1100S Katana model history now. New pictures and specs, including the 1980-1981 prototype. The GSX1000S (GS1000S in US) and GSX750S Katana pages also updated. Brochure scans for both 1100 and 1000 cc models coming very soon! New Katana pictures even on the All Suzuki Models section (some years within 1980-2000).

April 4: New pictures on the Visitors' Suzuki and the Visitors' GSX1400 pages. GSX250E brochure scans from Japan (six pages). New brochure scans of the GS650G, GSX750S , GSX1000S and GSX1100S Katana models.

April 6: New or updated brochure pages: Lido 50, Lido 75, Address 50, Address R50, Address 100, Burgman 125-150, Burgman 650, DR50, Maxi 50 (Most of them are written in Spanish).

April 7: New brochures from Spain: RF50 Suzzy 50 and RMX50. There's more, I will put them on the site as soon as I have cleaned the brochure scans in Photoshop. Spanish scooter adverts: AN125 and Katana 50. A couple of new Suzuki models on the All Suzuki Models section (1995).

April 8: More adverts from Spain: Katana R50, Address R50 and Address R7. More brochures: SMX50, Minicross, UE125 and UE150. New pictures on the Visitors' Suzuki page (GT380, GS850L). A note about GSX1400 now being available in Denmark on the GSX1400 Rumours page, also the new prices in Norway and Denmark.

April 11: New GSX1100SE Katana brochure scans. I also rewrote some of the comments on the GSX1100S Katana page (early models), mostly because I realized that I had placed the first models under wrong years. If the model had been presented in September 1981, I had called it a 1981 year's model and so on. Now the SZ models are 1982, SD 1983 and so on. I'm sorry about the confusion I may have caused you.

April 12: There's also two new Suzuki models (1955 Porter Free and 1963 TC250 El Camino) on the All Suzuki Models section. A new bike on the Visitors' Suzuki page (GSX600F). New T125 Stinger brochures and magazine ads.

April 13: 100,000 page views (16,750 unique visitors) according to the counter few minutes after midnight (Swedish time) earlier today! Also a new record for daily page views - yesterday was also the busiest day ever with 1,788 page views. Neat!!!

April 14: Actually I haven't had the time to update anything but the Welcome page (my rock band is moving to a new rehearsing studio), but as I get more and more detailed questions about Suzuki bikes I'd wanted to tell you that I am not a mechanics and I can't answer to that kind of questions. Please mail your question to My Suzuki Discussion Group instead. I see the questions as well and I will reply if I know the answer. But there's others on the mailing list who might know more!!!

April 18: It hasn't been the greatest week ever, measured with the number or the quality of updates. I have been busy with other things. But today I felt I want to give you something new: DR750S/800S Big story (not complete, help wanted) and a couple of rare X6 (T20) (with GP kit?) scans from 1967-1968. Something new on the All Suzuki Models section (1988, 1990). By the way, on April 16th there was 2,143 page views, a new record again!

April 23: David Evans from UK found a picture of his TR250 racer on My Suzuki Pages and was kind enough to send more information about the three racers on the picture. The picture and the info can be found here. David also promised to send me more pictures in the near future! What else? Two new bikes on the Visitors' bikes page (another Kawasaki ZL1000 Eliminator, Jawa 350). Two new bikes on the Visitors' Suzuki page (GS1000, GSX-R750). Michael from a great German Suzuki GS site www.gs-classic.de mailed me an early (1977) German GS-series advert to be published here. You can see it here. Michael and I plan to help each other more in the future. Another German webmaster, Volker from www.gsx-1400.net, helped me to get in touch with Walter Lazarek from Germany who mailed me great pictures of GSX1400 with the Krauser K5 case system mounted. Here's the pictures. T350 pages updated. New page about OR50, photos and specs kindly sent by Thomas Mellin, Sweden.

April 28: The only update since the 23rd: 1997 Across 250 brochure scans, two pages. I have also started my own Absolute Best Suzuki sites On The Internet top site list, since I found no such list anywhere. If you are a webmaster of a website about Suzuki motorcycles, you are welcome to join the list. You need a 480 x 60 pixels banner for you site (already uploaded somewhere on the Internet, max. 20 kb) available when you join the list.

Sometimes I get mail from people who complain that their favorite model is not on my site. In many cases they haven't even bothered to look properly or used the search engine. But there are still some models missing. I'm doing my best and will fill in the gaps as fast as I can. This is not my profession; I'm doing this in my spare time. I could use some help to be able to get more things done. Please send me pictures, brochures and specs – or complete model histories... Anything at all that can make the site more complete. Here's more info of how you can contact me.

One more thing: PLEASE visit the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) pages before sending me questions about your bikes, manuals etc. I would love to help you all but I haven't got enough time or knowledge to do that — perhaps you can find an answer to your question on the FAQ pages? Here's the link: Frequently Asked Questions
