Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

One of the most common questions people ask me by e-mail is about getting spare parts for their bike. Please don't send me mail before you have read the contest of this page. I get more e-mail than I can handle. I'm afraid I can't help you anyway but here follows some information that can be helpful. I don't sell anything myself, although some of you readers have got the impression that you can order stuff from me. You can't.

How to get spare parts and accessories for my Suzuki?

I want to make it perfectly clear, you can't order any Suzuki parts or accessories from me, I have nothing to sell. I have also received mail from people wanting to order new motorcycles from me but that is something I don't deal with. I just make this website and sell nothing. There's links on my site, though, to websites and firms that sell parts and accessories for my Suzuki, they can be found on this separate page, where I have linked to following suppliers of spare parts and other stuff you might need: JC Whitney (USA) and Bike Bandit (USA). As far as I know, they can offer you most of the parts that are normally available fro Suzuki motorcycles. Partsfish is another website where you can see exploded views, part numbers, and prices of parts on-line. See the Links page for more dealers.

There are also some friendly Suzuki fans out there that have offered help to other Suzuki fans to locate parts for their bikes, mostly for classics. If you have any good connections for parts suppliers or sell parts for special or rare Suzuki models, you can send me a note about it and if you wish, I can put a link to your site and/or e-mail address here.

You can also try joining the My Suzuki discussion group and posting your question there. Maybe some of the members can help you. Remember also to offer help for those who need it, the discussion group doesn't work if everybody just requires help and never answers to other people's questions.

How to get new decals for my Suzuki?

Normally your local Suzuki dealer can get you new decals for your Suzuki if your bike isn't very old or sold only in few quantities in your country. Finding decals for vintage or special models can be more tricky. Many owner's clubs can help you in finding decals (and spare parts as well) for your bike. It is also possible to let someone make new decals for you but usually you need an original decal as a model and it is not cheap.

There's a couple of firms I know of that make decals for several Suzuki models and are most likely can help you. You can find links to their websites on the Links page and even here: Nostalgic Suzuki and Reproduction Decals.

See the Links page for more info. You can also find some links to some Suzuki owner's club there.

Still no luck — what else can I do?

You can continue searching on the Internet for spare parts or you can send a picture of your Suzuki for publishing on my Visitors' Suzuki section with your owner's comments, your e-mail address and the request for a manual. Perhaps some of the other visitors on my site can help you.

You can also try joining the My Suzuki discussion group and posting your question there. Maybe some of the members can help you. Remember also to offer help for those who need it, the discussion group doesn't work if everybody just requires help and never answers to other people's questions.

Good luck!
