It's a presentation
of the model, published in Finnish magazine Tekniikan Maailma 10/1984.
Although the CL50 (Suzki Love) was introduced in Japan already
in 1982, the model came to the shops in Finland two years later,
in 1984, and presented in the Finnish motor magazine as a new
model. ½If this model don't ignite the skirt folks into riding
a moped, then nothing will work, says the journlist (Heikki
Kuva) in the article.
He writes that to use Suzuki Love is as easy as it possibly could.
One only needs to think about two things; to turn on the gas gauge
and brake. The two-step automatic transmission was something
new back in 1984. For a vehicle with only two wheels, I mean.
Even the choke was automatic, and the kick was coupled with an
electric starter.
The article also says that the new Suzuki scooter only looks small,
it is large enough for grown men to ride. The handlebar is rather
narrow, but will do.
The acceleration (0100 m at 12,9 seconds) was faster than
other mopeds, with normal gearboxes. Suzuki Love was quick and
easy to handle, but the fuel comsumption was surprisingly high
(3.2 l/100 km) and the fuel tank contained only 3
liter.
To ride Suzuki Love is fun. It offers the greater
ride than any other city moped available in Finland. |
