I have tried to tell the DR-Z 50 model history on this page as I know it. This page is still under construction. 2008 Suzuki year code: K8

An easy and fun choice for children to learn the fundamentals of riding. The compact 49cc SOHC single-cylinder engine is tuned to produce responsive, easy-to-control low rpm power.  The three-speed transmission has an automatic clutch for easy operation and a neutral-only starting system to prevent starting in gear. The adjustable throttle limiter allows supervising adult to adjust throttle opening to suit the rider's ability. The measurements, the 90mm drum brakes and the bodywork, seat and fuel tank are similar to the DR-Z70 with a 67cc engine. Throttle limiter has a throttle limiter parents can set for inexperienced kids and control their progress. Color: Champion Yellow Presented in Japan in April 23, 2008.
